Genotrack 1054 released today as a hotfix for query performance issues with large datasets, and some UI glitches

This hotfix primarily addresses two issues reported in the 1053 and 1054 builds.

Issue 1: Loading/Performance issues with large datasets

A problem was identified where queries against large dataset were responding in slow form loading and noticeable delays. In some instances, SQL progress dialogs were noted. We've addressed this improved performance on several of the common queries, and added additional indexing on key fields to speed up loading of many of the forms and previews.

Issue 2: Form headers/titles displaying as "hieroglyphics"

A problem was detected on Windows XP and earlier machines where some labels and text fields displayed "gibberish" characters or boxes in place of expected text. We believe this was related to a font change introduced in 1054 to improve unicode support, specifically for the male and female symbols used in some of the animal, litter and mating summaries. It appears either a missing or incompatible version of the font on older Windows platforms was resulting in an incorrect substitution font being utilised for those fields. We've addressed this by updating the style sheets again, changing the default fonts on a number of layouts and also providing instructions as to how to install the missing font. We are looking for additional feedback on this issue, particularly OS versions and affected fields/forms/layouts - please submit a ticket if you find further instances in 1054 or later builds.

This hotfix will be selectively deployed, as not all sites may be impacted. These fixes will also be included in the "regular" upcoming 1055 release.
